Privacy Policy for MR Event App

This Privacy Policy explains how MR Media (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and shares information when you use the MR Event App mobile application (the “App”).

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information. We only collect what is necessary to provide and improve the App.

a. Personal Information

We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or phone number unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, via a contact form or account creation feature). If you provide PII, we will only use it for the purpose you consent to.

b. Non-personal / Technical Information

  • Device information (device model, manufacturer, OS version)
  • Usage data (pages/screens visited, session length, feature usage)
  • Crash reports, diagnostics and performance metrics

c. Permissions

The App may request access to device features to enable functionality. Examples include:

  • Camera — to take photos or scan QR codes (only if your app requires it)
  • Storage / Files — to read or save files on your device (only if your app requires it)

We will request these permissions at runtime and they are optional unless required for core functionality. You may revoke permissions at any time via your device settings.

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide and maintain the App features and functionality.
  • To diagnose and fix bugs, and monitor performance.
  • To analyze usage so we can improve user experience.
  • To respond to user inquiries if you contact us.

3. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services that collect or process data to support the App (for example analytics, crash reporting, or advertising providers). Examples of such services may include:

  • Google Play Services
  • Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics)
  • AdMob (if your app shows ads)

Please review those third parties’ privacy policies for details on how they handle data.

4. Ads and Advertising ID

If your App displays personalized ads, advertising providers may collect the Advertising ID on your device. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings or Google settings.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data with:

  • Service providers who perform services on our behalf (e.g., analytics, hosting)
  • Law enforcement or regulators when required by law

6. Data Retention

We retain data as long as necessary to provide the App and comply with legal obligations. Non-personal usage data may be retained in aggregated or anonymized form indefinitely for analytics.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no system is completely secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us to request deletion.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, and objection to processing. To exercise these rights or ask questions, contact us at the details below.

10. International Transfers

Data may be processed and stored in countries outside your country of residence. We will take steps required by applicable law to provide adequate protection for personal data transfers.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
