    assalamualaikum habib
    gud mornin n how are u 2day?this is me again ilham
    i\’m asking u bout marawis,alabuh,hadrah n somethin like that…my ustadz in my musholla said to me n all jamaah to go away from them all coz that\’s a jahiliah habitual n that\’s unrightful or \"HARAM\"

    n i just wanna u to answer my question with de best answer n don\’t forget to put dalil or hadist bout that\’s all coz

    Terjemahan:

    Assalamualaikum habib,
    selamat pagi dan bagaimana kabarnya sekarang? ilham lagi nih bib,
    saya mau bertanya tentang marawis, alabuh, hadrah dan alat musik yg seperti itu.. Ustad di musholla tempat saya berkata kepada saya & semua jama\’ah untuk menjauhi hal itu karena itu kebudayaan jahiliah dan juga haram.

    saya mau habib menjawab pertanyaan saya dan jangan lupa bib untuk menerangkan dalil atau hadistnya..

    Alaikumsalam warahmatullah wabarakatuh,

    cahaya keridhoan Nya sempga selalu menerangi anda dan keluarga,

    Saudaraku yg kumuliakan,
    Didalam madzhab syafii bahwa Dufuf (rebana) hukumnya Mubah secara Mutlak (Faidhulqadir juz 1 hal 11),

    diriwayatkan pula bahwa para wanita memukul rebana menyambut Rasulullah saw disuatu acara pernikahan, dan Rasul saw mendengarkan syair mereka dan pukulan rebana mereka, hingga mereka berkata : bersama kami seorang nabi yg mengetahui apa yg akan terjadi”, maka Rasul saw bersabda : “Tinggalkan kalimat itu, dan ucapkan apa apa yg sebelumnya telah kau ucapkan”. (shahih Bukhari hadits no.4852),
    Rasul saw tak melarangnya,

    juga diriwayatkan bahwa rebana dimainkan saat hari asyura di Madinah dimasa para sahabat radhiyallahu ‘anhum (sunan Ibn Majah hadits no.1897)

    Dijelaskan oleh Al Hafidh Al Imam Ibn Hajar bahwa Duff (rebana) dan nyanyian pada pernikahan diperbolehkan walaupun merupakan hal lahwun (melupakan dari Allah), namun dalam pernikahan hal ini (walau lahwun) diperbolehkan (keringanan syariah karena kegembiraan saat nikah), selama tak keluar dari batas batas mubah, demikian sebagian pendapat ulama (Fathul Baari Almasyhur Juz 9 hal 203)

    Menunjukkan bahwa yg dipermasalahkan mengenai pelarangan rebana adalah karena hal yg Lahwun (melupakan dari Allah), namun bukan berarti semua rebana haram karena Rasul saw memperbolehkannya, bahkan dijelaskan dg Nash Shahih dari Shahih Bukhari, namun ketika mulai makna syairnya menyimpang dan melupakan dari Allah swt maka Rasul saw melarangnya,

    [b]pembahasan tentang larangan rebana itu adalah seputar hukum rebana untuk gembira atas akad nikah dg lagu yg melupakan dari Dzikrullah.[/b]

    Berbeda dengan rebana dalam maulid, karena isi syairnya adalah shalawat, pujian pada Allah dan Rasul Nya saw, maka hal ini tentunya tak ada perbedaan pendapat padanya, karena khilaf adalah pada lagu yg membawa lahwun.

    sebagaimana juga syair yg jelas jelas dilarang oleh Rasul saw untuk dilantunkan di masjid, karena membuat orang lupa dari Allah dan masjid adalah tempat dzikrullah, namun justru syair pujian atas Rasul saw diperbolehkan oleh Rasul saw di masjid, demikian dijelaskan dalam beberapa hadits shahih dalam shahih Bukhari, bahkan Rasul saw menyukainya dan mendoakan Hassan bin Tsabit ray g melantunkan syair di masjid, tentunya syair yg memuji Allah dan Rasul Nya. (shahih Bukhari hadits no.442) dan banyak lagi riwayat shahih tentang syair di masjid

    mengenai pengingkaran yg muncul dari beberapa kyai kita adalah karena mereka belum mencapai tahqiq dalam masalah ini, karena tahqiq dalam masalah ini adalah tujuannya, sebab alatnya telah dimainkan dihadapan Rasulullah saw yg bila alat itu merupakan hal yg haram mestilah Rasul saw telah mengharamkannya tanpa membedakan ia membawa manfaat atau tidak, namun Rasul saw tak melarangnya, dan larangan Rasul saw baru muncul pada saat syairnya mulai menyimpang, maka jelaslah bahwa hakikat pelarangannya adalah pada tujuannya.

    In madzhab Syafii, it is believed that the law for Dufuf (playing the traditional music instrument like a small drum) is Mubah in Mutlak (Faidhulqadir juz 1 hal 11),
    it is said also that when the women played these small drums to greet the Prophet Rasulullah s.a.w in a wedding ceremony, the Prophet s.a.w listened to their religious songs/poems and their rebana music, until they said: together with us, a Prophet who knows what will happen”, then Rasul s.a.w said : “Please forget those words, and say things you have said before”. (shahih Bukhari hadits no.4852),
    The Prophet s.a.w did not forbid it,
    also being told that rebana was played on the asyura day in Madinah in the era of His colleagues radhiyallahu ‘anhum (sunan Ibn Majah hadits no.1897)
    Explained by Al Hafidh Al Imam Ibn Hajar that Dufuf (rebana) and songs at the wedding were allowed although they were something lahwun (forgetting Allah s.w.t), but in the wedding, this activity (although lahwun) was allowed (the lightening of Islamic laws/ syariah because of the joy of wedding), as long as it was not going beyond the level of mubah, these were the opinion of some ulama (Moslem scholars) (Fathul Baari Almasyhur Juz 9 page.203)

    This proves that the forbidden part of playing rebana was because of things that is Lahwun (forgetting Allah s.w.t), but it doesn\’t mean that rebana is haram because Rasul s.a.w allowed it. It was even explained by Nash Shahih from Shahih Bukhari, but when the meaning of the religious songs or poems already bias or even forgetting Allah s.w.t then it was forbidden by Rasul s.a.w.

    [b]Discussion on forbidding this music instrument is around the laws of playing rebana for overjoying in celebrating the wedding with songs that makes someone forget Dzikrullah.[/b]

    It is different than playing rebana in maulid, because the content of the religious poems and songs are about shalawat, praise for Allah and His Prophet s.a.w, therefore they would be no different opinion about it, because forgetting God is only from the songs that will bring to lahwun.
    Also it was forbidden by Prophet s.a.w to sing religious songs in a mosque, because it will make people forget Allah s.w.t while the mosque is a place for reciting dzikir (dzikrullah), but on the other hand, the poems or songs to praise the Prophet s.a.w is allowed by Prophet s.a.w to be played in a mosque, these were all explained in some hadits shahih from shahih Bukhari, the Prophet s.a.w even loved it and prayed for Hassan bin Tsabit r.a who recited these poems in a mosque, off course the poems who praise Allah and His Rasul. (shahih Bukhari hadits no.442) and many more shahih stories about poems being recited in a mosque.

    About the denial and contradiction from few of our religious teachers (kyai) were mainly because they have not yet reached the tahqiq in this matter, because tahqiq in this matter is on the objective or goal, because the instruments have been played in front of Rasulullah s.a.w and if these instruments were haram then definetely Rasul s.a.w had stated as haram without making differentiation whether it would bring good or bad things, but Rasul s.a.w did not forbid them, and Rasul saw had forbidden it when the content of the poems or songs were started to become bias or has negative meanings, then it is clear that the real reason of making it forbidden was because of the objective when playing it.

    ooh but my ustadz said he knew that from kitab but i didn\’t remember that name…
    he has ever seen when he come to celebrate maulid baginda nabi besar muhammad saw in alhawi condet..he saw there are many boys who dance with that muzic ..

    but personally i like all those islamic muzic n use that muzic to remenber allah n rasulullah so thank for ur answer but maybe ur answer can\’t accept to remaja musholla in my musholla but i try to give a knowing for all remaja musholla n thank habib n could u give me where is the address ur pengajian in maslid almunawar?i wanna go threre but i don;t know where is it?what bus can deliver to there?

    Ooh tetapi ustadz saya bilang dia tahu dari kitab, tapi saya tidak ingat nama kitabnya…
    Dia bahkan pernah menyaksikan ketika dia datang merayakan maulid baginda nabi besar Muhammad saw di alhawi condet. Dia melihat disana banyak anak laki2 yang menari2 dengan musik itu…

    Namun secara pribadi, saya suka musik2 islami tersebut dan menggunakan musik tersebut untuk mengingat Allah n Rasulullah, jadi terimakasih atas jawaban anda namun mungkin jawaban anda tidak dapat diterima remaja mushollah di mushollah saya, tapi saya coba memberi pengertian pada remaja musholla n terimakasih habib n dapatkah anda memberiku alamat pengajian almunawar? Saya ingin kesana tapi tidak tau dimana? Bis apa yang lewat sana?

    cahaya rahmat Nya swt semoga selalu menerangi hari hari anda,

    saudaraku yg kumuliakan,
    anda tanya saja sama ustaz anda itu, mana dalilnya yg melarang?, kitab apa?, atau mengada ada karena dangkalnya pemahaman?, tentunya kita terima bila ada dalil yg menjelaskannya.

    majelis kita di Masjid raya Almunawar, Jl Raya Ps Minggu, Pancoran jakarta selatan, bila anda dari arah manapun, di malam selasa anda lewat jalan raya itu sudah penuh dengan umbul umbul kami di kiri dan kanan jalan, dan letak masjid almunawar adalah dipinggir jalan, dekat pom bensin.

    bila pukul 20.00 wib anda akan lihat masjid sudah mulai ramai, dan ada proyektor besar terpampang di halaman masjid dan terlihat dari jalan raya,

    hadirin saat ini semakin banyak, berkisar 4000 orang lebih, maka akan sangat menyolok di waktu waktu pk 20.00 – 23.00wib. acara dimulai pk 21.00-22.45wib.

    singkat saja kok.., monggooo…
